Traxxas honors the classic 1979 Ford Bronco with this beautifully detailed and faithful reproduction mounted on the incredibly capable TRX-4 chassis. From the chrome wheels and bumpers to the gorgeous Sunset or red graphics, the TRX-4 recaptures the Bronco’s iconic era with the toughness and technology that could only come from Traxxas.

New Clipless Body Mounting

New to TRX-4 79′ Ford Bronco, clipless body mounting combines clean flowing lines with secure latching convenience. TRX-4 Ford Bronco’s hidden latches hold tight on the trail no matter how intense the action gets, but release in just seconds to access the chassis.

The Power of Portals

Portal axles lift the truck at the wheels for huge center pumpkin ground clearance. In order to achieve  the same clearance with straight axles, the tyres would have to be over an inch taller than the tyres on the TRX-4 Bronco.

Torque Twist Eliminated

Portal axles use gear reduction at the wheels to virtually eliminate torque twist. The Titan 550 motor's torque translates into straight, powerful, forward motion, rather than wasting energy twisting the car off the rocks.

New Chassis Design

TRX-4 instantly obsoletes the status-quo with expanded features, versatility and capability. Performance and technology combine in a revolutionary chassis that looks as good as it performs.

Rigid Steel Frame

A heavy duty formed 1.5mm steel ladder frame chassis with moulded cross members creates a reliably rigid framework for all the working parts of TRX-4 that you can feel when navigating technical terrain.

Scale Details

TRX-4 Bronco sets the standard for scale rc crawlers. Authentic chrome wheels, trim panels and bumpers, replica side mirrors, wipers and front grille to give the Bronco that classic 70s look. The beautiful sunset and red painted bodies make the Bronco recognisable anywhere.

Remote Locking Diffs

Traxxas allow you to lock and unlock both front and rear diffs remotely from the transmitter. New sleeved micro cables control the diff action for scale appearance without limiting suspension articulation.

GTS Aluminium Shocks

Oil filled, coil-over GTS shocks deliver silky smooth damping performance and feature threaded aluminium shock bodies for easy and precise ride height adjustment. The convincing scale realism looks great and they perform even better.

Hi/Lo Range Transmission

When the going gets tough, shift into low gear remotely from the transmitter for incredible low range 4WD pulling torque. Shift back into high for blasting down the trails. TRX-4 Bronco adapts to any terrain or driving style.

Titan 550 Brushed Motor Driveline

The powerful 21T 550 size brushed motor offers perfect mechanical torque and thrust for the TRX-4 chassis dynamics and engineering. It comes matched with the reliable Traxxas XL-5HV brushed ESC which will run 3S lipo but will be happiest on a 2S (7.4V) lipo battery.

TQi Radio System

Traxxas has been using the TQi radio system in their top end vehicles for a decade or more. The TRX-4 transmittter is the TQi with extra buttons for the range change and diff locks but also offers cruise control for those long distance treks. Use the multi function knob to fine tune the speed to match your caravan of trail explorers.

Waterproof Electrics

For years Traxxas has been claiming their electrics are 'waterproof' and not splashproof. Whilst electricity and water do not mix, Traxxas make every possible water proofing provision for their electrics. The receiver is in a double o-ring sealed box, the ESC is water sealed as are the servos and the motor will actually work underwater. So, waterproof.

Adjustable Wheelbase

Innovative shock towers allow for four separate 'bolt-on' wheelbase positions, 300mm, 312mm, 324mm and 336mm so you can fit the body shell you always wanted.
