Clipless Body Mounting

Slash 4X4’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash’s hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large, reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.

Modular Simplicity

A modular chassis design allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a powered screwdriver, you have full access for easy servicing and adjustment.

Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) works behind the scenes to help harness Slash 4WD VXL's extreme brushless power for maximum acceleration and ultra-precise control. Adjust the amount of assistance from off to 100% right from your transmitter.

Heavy Duty Turnbuckles - Heavy duty 4mm thick steel turnbuckles are adjustable for trackside camber and toe tuning to match the terrain and your driving style and provide superior durability.

Oil Filled Ultra Shocks - Slash 4WD VXL comes with a full set of oil filled ultra-shocks. These are engineered for smooth, leak proof running and easy maintenance. They come with progressive white powder coated springs and can be tuned using different weight shock oils, different spring rates and alternate pistons.

Long Wheelbase Chassis -  A 12.75in (323mm) wheelbase chassis increases Slash 4WD VXLs high speed stability, straight line performance and cornering percision. The interlocking modular chassis is smooth on the bottom with almost 3in (75mm) of center ground clearance to avoid snagging and high centering.

Integrated Chassis Nerf Bars - Tough integrated chassis nerf bars offer side body protection and support to help absorb the racing impacts of fender to fender track competition or backyard bashing.

Fixed Gear Adapter - Slash comes standard with fixed gear adapters to take the guesswork out of setting your gear mesh correctly with 5 preset gearing positions. Insert the motor fixing screw through the correct hole for your chosen gearing for a perfect mesh every time.

Velineon 3500 Motor - A sensorless 4-pole 3500kv brushless motor delivers instant responsive power and acceleration with almost zero maintenance. Ultra high temperature neodymium magnets, high speed bearings and a precision 4-pole balanced rotor deliver smooth running and long life.

VXL-3S ESC - The waterproof Velineon VXL-3S speed control is packed with technology to deliver maximum power. Large heat sink, integrated on/off switch and 3 driving profiles top the list. 2-stage low voltage detection allows for up to 11.1V of Lipo performance and thermal protection stops it getting too hot.

Long Travel Suspension - Slash 4WD has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, smooth suspension travel to swallow up the lumps, bumps and jumps and delivers superior rough track control. Performance optimised suspension components provide maixumum articulation without binding or interference.

Waterproof Receiver Box - The most water sensitive and vulnerable component to Slash electrics is the receiver. Slash keeps it safe and dry in an o-ring sealed box with a water tight high density foam ingress for wires.

5-Ch Receiver with Failsafe - Integrated Telemetry Ports in the receiver transmit real time data to the TQi transmitter when using the Traxxas Link App and Telemetry Sensors. In the event of signal loss (the batteries in your radio go flat), the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last steering position.

Digital Steering Servo - Slash 4WD comes with a 9kg digital, high speed steering servo for a crisp powerful steering response.

BFGoodrich Tyres on SCT Wheels - Slash 4WDs BFGoodrich tyres have excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on hard surfaces. Their authentic scale appearance and realistic performance add to the racing experience. The tyres some mounted to 2.2/3.0in dual profile Short Course Truck (SCT) wheels with a satin chrome beadlock affect.

Traxxas High Current Plugs - All Traxxas cars come with Traxxas patented plugs, easy to use with a large grip area and impossible to plug in backwards.

Adjustable Battery Hold Down - The battery strap can be flipped over to securely hold thinner and thicker battery packs but there is a tall battery hold down set (sold separately) available for extra thick batteries.

Dual Steering Bellcrank with Servo Saver - Slash's dual bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the roughest of conditions. An integrated cam type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision. And its all mounted on smooth, rubber sealed bearings.

Heavy Duty Suspension Arms - Moulded from tough, crash resistant composite material. These provide just the right amount of flex to absorb crash damage without breaking.

Hex Hardware - Slash uses all black powder coated internal hex hardware for secure, positive fixing, rust resistance and ease of use. Looks good too!

Scale Front and Rear Bumpers - The front and rear bumpers mount solidly to reinforced bulkheads to absorb impacts. The tube style bumpers offer solid protection whilst making the truck look exactly like a real short course truck.

Upgraded Slipper Clutch - New Slash, new slipper assembly. The new slipper clutch assembly features larger alloy pressure plates and high temperature aluminium slipper pads for superior power handling. The slipper clutch assembly delivers equal amounts of power distribution from rear to front for instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four wheel traction.

Large 32-Pitch Gears - Designed from the start to handle big brushless horsepower, Slash 4WDs driveline uses a rugged spur gear (transmission gear) with large 32P (0.8Mod) teeth for extra strength and reliable power transfer.

Maxx-Duty Driveshafts - New Slash, new driveshafts. Maxx-duty driveshafts come with beefed up uni-joints and meatier plastic parts to resist the torsional forces that might twist lesser driveshafts.

Sealed Steel Gear Differentials - Sealed front and rear differentials utilise steel gear internals for maximum durability when laying down the power. Silicone gaskets and x-ring seals keep out the water and keep in the diff oil. Customise the amount of locking action by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside the diffs.

Rubber Sealed Bearings - Slash 4WD comes with a full complement of rubber sealed bearings throughout to help keep out the dust and rust and keep Slash running smoothly.
