New BL-2s Brushless Power System
Rustler 4X4’s BL-2s brushless power system ramps up the fun with up to 60% more speed and faster acceleration than comparable brushed power systems. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings, and an internal cooling fan allow Rustler 4X4 to run battery after battery for all-day fun. With no brushes to wear out, the BL-2s 3300 Kv is long-lasting and requires virtually no maintenance.

Clipless Body Mounting
Rustler 4X4 uses a clipless body latching system for secure mounting and fast, one-handed removal and installation. The sleek, aerodynamic body features a rugged internal structure and external rollover protection for long life and Traxxas-Tough durability.
Waterproof Electrics
Your RC experience should be filled with fun and excitement, but not limited by the electrics or the weather. Traxxas Waterproof Technology gives you the freedom to run your car in the rain and the snow without worry (waterproof does not mean submersible).
Modular Simplicity
A modular chassis design allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a powered screwdriver, you have full access for easy servicing and adjustment.
3Ch Receiver with Failsafe - In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last known steering position. Failsafe is built in and does not need to be activated.
Oil Filled Ultra Shocks - Rustler 4WD comes with a full set of oil filled ultra-shocks. These are engineered for smooth, leak proof running and easy maintenance. They come with progressive white powder coated springs and can be tuned using different weight shock oils, different spring rates and alternate pistons.
Long Travel Suspension - Rustler 4WD has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, smooth suspension travel to swallow up the lumps, bumps and jumps and delivers superior rough track control. Performance optimised suspension components provide maixumum articulation without binding or interference.
Waterproof Receiver Box - The most water sensitive and vulnerable component to Rustler electrics is the receiver. Rustler keeps it safe and dry in an o-ring sealed box with a water tight high density foam ingress for wires.
Digital Steering Servo - Rustler 4WD comes with a 6kg digital, high speed steering servo for a crisp powerful steering response.
Traxxas High Current Plugs - All Traxxas cars come with Traxxas patented plugs, easy to use with a large grip area and impossible to plug in backwards.
Clip Latch Battery Hold Down - An innovative battery hold-down features a beefed up strap for solid locking to keep batteries secure no matter how wild the action gets.
Dual Steering Bellcrank with Servo Saver - Rustler's dual bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the roughest of conditions. An integrated cam type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision. And its all mounted on smooth, water resistant nylon bushes.
Heavy Duty Suspension Arms - Moulded from tough, crash resistant composite material. These provide just the right amount of flex to absorb crash damage without breaking.
Hex Hardware - Rustler uses all black powder coated internal hex hardware for secure, positive fixing, rust resistance and ease of use. Looks good too!
Tough Reinforced Front and Rear Bumpers - Tough reinforced bumpers protect the chassis against impacts. The specially designed front bumper provides a high approach angle that allows the Rustler to climb up and over obstacles with ease.
Upgraded Slipper Clutch - New Rustler, new slipper assembly. The new slipper clutch assembly features larger alloy pressure plates and high temperature aluminium slipper pads for superior power handling. The slipper clutch assembly delivers equal amounts of power distribution from rear to front for instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four wheel traction.
Large 32-Pitch Gears - Designed from the start to handle big brushless horsepower, Rustler 4WDs driveline uses a rugged spur gear (transmission gear) with large 32P (0.8Mod) teeth for extra strength and reliable power transfer.
Maxx-Duty Driveshafts - New Rustler, new driveshafts. Maxx-duty driveshafts come with beefed up uni-joints and meatier plastic parts to resist the torsional forces that might twist lesser driveshafts.
Gray 2.8in Wheels with Talon EXT Tyres - Rustler's grey 2.8in RXT wheels provide terrain conquering ground clearance and a commanding presence. Aggressive Talon EXT tyres dig into dirt and grass for outstanding 4x4 traction. The EXTs tyre compound provides extra durability on pavement with a unique design that resists ballooning at high speeds.
Sealed Steel Gear Differentials - Sealed front and rear differentials utilise steel gear internals for maximum durability when laying down the power. Silicone gaskets and x-ring seals keep out the water and keep in the diff oil. Customise the amount of locking action by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside the diffs.
Rubber Sealed Bearings - Rustler 4WD comes with a full complement of rubber sealed bearings throughout to help keep out the dust and rust and keep Rustler running smoothly.
